The last couple of years has seen Linaker grow exponentially and 2025 is no exception. Our client base continues to grow month on month and as a result we are now looking for a talented Fire Quality Surveyor to join us on our upward journey.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of Fire & Security projects, from inception to completion. This role involves conducting inspections, preparing reports, and collaborating with project teams to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
- Review and interpret fire and security plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Knowledge of fire and security Standards
- Identify and document any defects or non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and quality assessments.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality issues.
- Monitor and track the progress of quality assurance activities.
- Ensure that all materials and workmanship meet the required standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and policies.
- Provide training and guidance to site personnel on quality standards and best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quality management.
- Experience of managing and providing expert guidance to a team of fire and security engineers.
- In depth knowledge of the industry who will be the point of contact for our industry accreditations.
- Proven track record of producing high quality quotations with minimal assistance.
Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality surveying or a related role within fire and security.
- Strong knowledge of fire and security methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
